The Wales Violence Prevention Unit and Peer Action Collective Cymru met to discuss a joint ambition to end violence among children and young people.
Together, we agreed to develop a guide that could pave the way for a Wales without violence, one that focused on solutions to support professionals and reflected the views, experiences and aspirations of children and young people living in Wales.
A year of research, consultation and conversations with over 1,000 professionals, children and young people followed, culminating in Wales Without Violence: A Shared Framework for Preventing Violence among Children and Young People.
This Framework demonstrates a collective hope for a future Wales without violence and an ambition from children, young people and professionals alike to make this happen.
We are proud of what we have achieved so far, but it really is just the start. For now, it is over to you.
The Wales Without Violence Handbook contains the full Framework, which lays the groundwork for multi-agency action. The Framework is intended to support partners in Wales make sure valuable time, money and resources are spent on implementing strategies and activities that prevent violence among children and young people.
